So, lots of crazy things have been going on around here. And by "here", I mean "my job". There's even case of cross-college controversy (alliteration for the win). But it should cool over soon. All of our program changes should prove beneficial. It's a bit upsetting though, since anybody who applies cannot get a straight answer (because there are none yet). We've settled our new tentative start date, which is nice. Instead of saying "spring or fall" I can say "August".
I just have to sit patiently while everyone over my head figures out everything. They're doing a fine job, but it is going very slow in my opinion. At least I have a job; there are no plans to shut down our department (which is only 3 1/2 years old). Our campus is thriving thanks to the president as well as our excellent community involvement. That's always a plus.
If you want juicy details on all of this, sorry. There have been a few public announcements and news reports, but I'm not sharing. :P Tough luck. It's not a national issue, so I doubt there will be that much publicity. In fact, I think anyone who is or might be making a big deal of some of what's going on is probably blowing things out of proportion. But then, I don't know everything. It's just all weird and complicated. *Rolls eyes*
So, on a gaming note: I just bought Crackdown w/a guide off of ebay for a sweet deal. I'm not even going to try for a points completion, but the game is super fun. Even if I only got 10 points, the game is worth it. Yay cheap fun!

Crackdown was fun, but once I finished all the main missions, I was done with it. I'll pass on orb-hunting since even I have my limits.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to want to scream during some of the rooftop races. Fun, but really tough.
